Buck Moon Ritual
The Buck Moon is tomorrow and it has a rich and deep symbolism of letting go.
The natural cycle of a Buck’s antlers is fascinating!!! It takes an enormous amount of resources to build a set of larger and larger antlers every year!
Antlers are full living organs made of bone, cartilage, nerves and blood vessels, that are completely shed and regenerated every single year!! It is a signal from nature that letting go is a necessary prerequisite for growth.
This allows a more impressive version of you to emerge! Amazing right?!
So let’s take advantage of this Buck Moon, and intentionally let go of the old structures, so that we can shift into the next version of ourself that is being called forward!
Release who you thought you had to be, so you can step into who you are becoming.
A simple clarity and release ritual
You will need: a piece of paper, a pen, matches, fire safe dish, a quiet space
Ground and Shift Perspective
Write and Release : on the left side of the paper write down 1-3 old beliefs, patterns, or things that feel forced and ready to be released.
on the right side of the paper write 1-3 sentences about what freedom from these old beliefs looks like for you, and the shift that will happen when you let them go.
Symbolic Release
Tear the paper in half, place the left side of the paper in the fire safe bowl, visualize letting those things go. speak out loud what you're letting go and the feeling associated with them. Call upon any guides or ancestors you want to help release them.
Set it on Fire!
When the paper is burning take the right side of the paper and feel into the intentions of what you want instead! The version of you who is ready to step forward. Call upon any guides or ancestors you want to help you Embody it, feel it and claim it.
Seal It with Action
Keep the right side of the paper visible for the next couple days, evoke the vision and emotions associated with the empowering statements you wrote down. Thank you guides, great spirit and end with “this or something even better still, thank you, and so it is.”
Rituals are something that support us, but they don’t just happen. We have to intentionally show up, be willing to shift our perspectives, and take the actions that are in alignment. It doesn’t happen by accident. We live into it.
If this Ritual helped you I would LOVE to hear about it!!!! What did you change or add? Make it your own, its more potent and powerful that way:)
Happy Full Moon,
Delain
